Our Workshops always start with games and challenges, which encourage team work and help to establish a relationship, between the participants and the instructor(s). Once we have created a safe working relationship with our audience, the workshop progresses with a physical warm up in which everyone works together, to create the exercises, using everyday items.
The warm up is followed by the technical part of the day. During this time, we focus on learning the basics of various different circus disciplines. This way, they can get a taste of different skills, and ultimately decide which one they would like to explore further. Every circus artist gravitates towards a genre, it isn’t something we do, but a part of who we are. It is an extension and expression of our innermost selves.
In the second half of the workshop, the participants choose which circus art they would like to spend more time learning additional skills in. They create teams and work together, to create a small routine.
The final part of the day, consists of a presentation and a feedback session. During this time, the teams have the chance to share the discoveries they made. The feedback session is focused on encouragement and positive reenforcement.
